T.H.R.I.V.E. NOW Network of Women
Our name, T.H.R.I.V.E. NOW, reflects our heart: to help women Transform, Heal, Rise, Inspire, Value themselves, and Empower others—right now, not “someday.” We focus on real issues that impact women every day, including access to hygiene essentials, confidence-building, mentorship, and safe spaces to share stories and solutions. We believe no woman should feel alone, ashamed, or overlooked, and we work intentionally to close those gaps through compassionate support and practical action.

Legacies
That Live On

Mrs. Remonia Sandifer King, a native of Prescott, AR, was reared with Godly love by her parents, Carter G. and Bessie Hill-Sandifer. Her mother passed shortly after bearing the last of sixteen children. "Mae" was a happy young girl in school. On many walks home, it was expected that she and her siblings would stop by Mt. Caney, the family church, to practice singing for Sunday morning's service. Many days were spent encouraging each other and the kids in the community. Dinner was her favorite time! Imagine dinner for 16 children, plus their parents. No one ever went without "food, prayer, and a song in their heart." As she grew older, Mae moved to Northern California to be with a portion of her older siblings. She met and later married Titus King, Sr. Two amazing children were born: Myeisha and Titus, Jr.(Co-Founder of T.H.R.I.V.E. NOW Network), and the journey continued. All the love, life lessons, and great recipes were staples in the family. Mae was known for her beauty, grace, warm heart, style, and for the many holiday meals she and the family prepared and delivered throughout her neighborhood. What would you expect from a southern belle, known to many as "Mae"? Family & Community were everything to her. She taught her children well, and to love God and family always came first, just as other things were mandatory. Many days were spent singing, praying, cooking, and helping those less fortunate, even if that meant an hour-long drive to bless a family in need. She led her children by example. One of her mottos was "God rewards those who help the least of them". Mae always saw to the needs of her Husband and children first. Next came her gifts and callings. Singing and helping otherswere her favorite. Seeing to her family and community at large was her life. She was a deaconess in the Baptist church who truly knew her calling and how to love God with all her mind, body, and soul. Remonia will forever be remembered for her smile, her grace, her love for family and others, not forgetting the countless hours of volunteer work and service to her church family, children in the neighborhood, and her community at large. And the work continues...
Mrs. Katherine Ward Hunter, a native of Doyline, LA., was reared by her parents, Elijah and Lusinda Jackson-Ward, along with her seven siblings. Her parents later moved the family to Dallas, TX, for better education and a better life. Family was the center of her joy and most conversations. When she was just out of high school, she married her high school sweetheart, Jimmie Lee Hunter, Jr. Together, they reared five children, Jimmie, Russell, Trevor, Barbara and Tracy(Co-Founder of T.H.R.I.V.E.NOW Network), who were all taught to "Do unto others as you would have them do unto you". She demanded excellence from her children, but was always there to nurture and love them through life's circumstances. The fruit of the spirit were exemplified throughout her life. Katherine never met a stranger. The Hunter household was a stable for many in the community. Encouraging all who crossed her path, she met them with humility, a beautiful smile, and a sincere hug. With a full-time job, the responsibility of being a wife, and each of her children involved in activities both local and statewide. Katherine always found a way to balance the family, making sure that each of her children was loved, encouraged, motivated, and always be the best they could be, in every situation. In her neighborhood, she never turned a hungry child away. If she and her husband, Jimmie, learned of a family in the community without food, they would load the car up and make a special delivery to them, with a special $ envelope attached. All were welcome to the family table. There, many lessons were taught; she would lend an ear to a troubled mother and child, to let them know they were loved and that their lives mattered. Meeting them right where they were, she shared the love of Jesus Christ, encouraged all to be better, and, when able, do their very best to help someone else who may be less fortunate. Katherine exemplified the love of Christ through her welcoming spirit and gift of encouragement. She leaves a legacy of family, community, service, never-ending love, and countless acts of kindness. Now, the work continues through countless acts of kindness and hope for all. Her legacy will continue to thrive through her children, grandchildren, and those she mentored.

Our Mission

T.H.R.I.V.E. NOW Network of Women: Our mission is to empower women through education and leadership. We believe that by providing the right resources and opportunities, we can inspire women to achieve their goals and make a meaningful impact. Welcome to our mission of empowerment! We are dedicated to uplifting under-resourced women in communities by instilling hope and inspiration in those who are feeling broken-hearted.
